the louder the music, the bigger the heartbreak

so... cyclone yesterday? yeah, everyone is saying it's a tornado but the news reported it as a cyclone since it didn't touch the ground. wow.

there's trees ripped up everywhere and huge branches everywhere. the only real damage done to my property is a big ass crack in my windshield. but we can easily fix that i believe. hopefully.

it was just so weird... a cyclone. in stratford, nj. i just thought it was the biggest gust of wind ever. i just looked out my window and all i see is this huge gust of wind blowing towards our house and we all ran downstairs. we watched trees fall and our patio furniture drag away. it was the strangest thing ever.

and the power was out for a while. we went to the mall & got pizza and then we spent the night at home on our front porch because it was cooler out there than it was inside. we took a walk at 12 am & it was so weird without any light.

when we called the power people, they said it wasn't going to be on until 7 in the morning. but at 11:30 all our power turned back on. it was so weird. i didn't really think it did at first. but it did. there's still people who don't have power. like my neighbor, who had a HUGE tree in her front yard and it fell over, pulling up an almost 13 foot chunk of ground out with it. it took her powerlines down.

not to mention how weird it was to see everyone out on the streets. riding bikes, walking, whatever. there were huge parades of people! i had never seen that many people out in stratford in my whole life of living here. i guess that's what happens when there's no power, you go outside. check out the damage around.

crazy stuff.

oh! i found out who my dorm/suite mates here. there's three of them and they all seem nice. i'm excited. and im stayng in BPS, which is the bigger freshman dorm & i hear that dorm is a lot of fun. i hope so! here's a picture!
